William Roosevelt Austin

Mr. William Roosevelt Austin was born on November 5th, 1956, to the parentage of Roosevelt Austin, Jr. and Tempie Laverne Powell Austin.  

William accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age and united with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Equality, Alabama.  As William was faithful and devoted to the ministry he was later ordained as a deacon of the church. 

Along William’s life’s journey he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Joyce Cook in the year of 1998. 

William departed this walk of life on December 20th, 2021, under the care of East Lake Arbor Nursing Home in Decatur, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Joyce C. Austin, parents, Roosevelt Austin and Tempie L. Austin, two daughters, Regina Phillips and LaShonda Grayson, stepson, Willie Cornelius Cook, brother, Robert Austin, sister, Mary Jane Brisker, sister-in-law, Gladys Smith Austin. 

William’s love will forever be cherished by his two very devoted caregivers step daughter, Turkessa (LaBarron) Simmons of Georgia; and sister, Mary Ann Austin Moon of Sylacauga, AL; he will also be loved and remembered by one step daughter, Tepassion (TyShawn) Eaddy of South Carolina; one sister, Joann (Cornelius) Floyd of Sylacauga, AL; one brother, David Junior Austin of Sylacauga, AL; eight grandchildren, Monesha Clyburn, Maxwell Charles, Tiawann Brown all of Michigan; Tyshawn Eaddy, TyQuavius Eaddy, TyQuan Eaddy all of South Carolina; Cori Keith of Georgia; Zacharius Simmons of New York; and Shalinda Odum of Alabama; one great grandson, DeAndre Randle, Jr. of Michigan; siblings in love, Martha (James) Cowlin, Donna (Jeff) Cribbs, Stephanie (Andre) Brown, LaRhonda Hale, Dolly (Rickey) Middleton, Rita (Elvis) Mann, Samantha Marbury, Darlene Marbury, Precious Marbury, Della (Willie Ray) Wilson, Cheryl Fluker, Mitchell Marbury, and Christopher Marbury; special niece, LaWanda Austin Jennings, special good friend, Joseph Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
