Mr. Willie Charles Hamilton, Sr. was born on July 4, 1949 in Childersburg, AL to the late Mrs. Barbara Hamilton Shepard.
Mr. Hamilton accepted Christ at an early age at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Childersburg, AL. He fellowship with Enon Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed.
He departed his life on March 11, 2019 at Mt. Royal Nursing Home, Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Sam Wilson and Mrs. Barbara Hamilton Shepard; step father, William Johnson; brothers, DeWallace Borden, Raymond Wright, William Johnson, Jr., Sam Wilson, Jr., and McKinney James Johnson; sisters, Sue Wright and Pearlie Forbes.
Mr. Hamilton loved to cook, fish, and listen to his music. He was fascinated with cars and was a handy mechanic. He was fondly known as "Happy Jack" Happy go lucky.
He leaves to cherish he memories four daughters, Brenda Michelle Hamilton of Huntsville, AL; Tyronza Hamilton and Aislinn Hamilton both of Albany, NY; Christie Nix of Childersburg, AL: one son, Willie Charles Hamilton, Jr. of Albany, NY; six sisters, Nina Faye (Eugene) Marbury, Gloria Johnson both of Childersburg, AL; Ann Johnson of Rochester, NY; Angela (Jeffrey) Rudish of Albany, NY; Alice Faye Johnson of Sylacauga, AL; and Susie (Matthew) McElrath of Childersburg, AL; four brothers, Minister Clayton (Jonetta) Jews of Vandiver, AL; Willie James Wright of Childersburg, AL; Ben (Glenda) Wright of Childersburg, AL; and Ulysses Wilson of Sylacauga, AL; four aunts, Ann Marie Brace of Montgomery, AL; Katie L. Lawson, Willie Bell Quinn both of Albany, NY; and Hattie M. Crowe of Sylacauga, AL; three uncles, Melvin Hamilton and Hosey Swain both of Childersburg, AL; and James Crowe of Sylacauga, AL; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
