Willie James Peterson

Mr. Willie James Peterson earthly journey began on Monday, May 6, 1940 to the parentage of the late Walter Peterson, Sr. and the late Lessie Johnson Peterson in Bessemer, Alabama.  

At an early age, Willie, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. 

Along Willie’s life’s journey, he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Jeffie Pearl Noble. They were bless to have 61 years of marriage.

Willie departed this walk of life on the evening of March 14, 2021, while under the care of Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. Welcoming him in with open arms was his parents, Walter Peterson, Sr. and Lessie Johnson Peterson, two sisters, Mary E. Youngblood and Barbara J. Ropers, two brothers, Walter Peterson, Jr. and Rev. Roosevelt Peterson. 

His memories will always be remembered and cherished by his loving wife, Jeffie P. Noble of Harpersville, AL; two sons, Willie J. (Wendy) Peterson of Childersburg, AL; Marquial T. Peterson of Harpersville, AL; three daughters, Sheila A. (Wayne) Kirksey of Wilsonville, AL; Jeffie J. (James) Lee of Sylacauga, AL; and Teresa Greenlea of Harpersville, AL; five grandchildren, Gregory, Mariah, Kendal, Jasmine, and Ryan; twelve great grandchildren, NaKiyah, Zachary, Eliannah, Rapheal, Macayla, Chloe, Jaylen, Jakobie, Gregory Gee, Hadpeigh, Zaw, and Ty; two brothers, Mitchell (Rosie) Peterson of Vincent, AL; and Terry (Ann) Peterson of Moody, AL; five sisters, Elosie Peterson of Vincent, AL; Dorothy Peterson of Boston, MA; Jocye Dixson of Harpersville, AL; Bridget (Terry) Keller of Vincent, AL; and Linda F. Peterson of Birmingham, AL; a very special friends, Welsey Middleton and Brandon Middleton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
