Sylacauga, Alabama - Willie Frank Martin, Jr., affectionately known by many as “Zack,” was born on July 2, 1970, in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Willie Frank Martin, Sr. and Geraldine “Zachery” Martin. He was the third of six children.
Zack was a proud graduate of B.B. Comer Memorial High School, Class of 1990. Following graduation, he pursued a career in the trucking industry. Over the years, he drove for several major companies and also achieved his dream of becoming a business owner.
Zack was a man full of life, laughter, and love. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, racing cars, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. His humor, joy, and big heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
On September 29, 2025, Zack departed this walk of life. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Frank Martin, Sr.; his mother, Geraldine Martin; and his brother, Houston Zachery.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted wife, Teshawna “Keshia” Martin; his beloved children, Latiara Smith, Shaquana Riggins, Tyrisha Toney, Timetria Stowes, Shameka (Ryshawn Pope) Martin, Dameka Martin, Sarina Gamble, Zhane Martin (TJ), I’Keria Martin, Omari Wells (Angel), and Keyshawn Russell; four sisters, Christina “Zackery” Whetsel (Darrin), Kimothy Simmons, Lesa “Martin” King (Earl), and Dorothy Player (Jartavious); two brothers, Christopher Martin and John Horton; fifteen precious grandchildren; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many friends who will continue to honor his legacy.
Zack will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others and the love he freely gave. His laughter, kindness, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
