Willie Pearl Dark Obituary

Sylacauga, Alabama - Willie Pearl Gamble-Dark was born to the late Mr. John Marion Gamble Sr. and Mrs. Rosezell Gamble on May 5, 1938 in Coosa County, Alabama. She transitioned into eternal life Tuesday, February 3, 2026

She confessed Christ early in life and joined Union Baptist Church. On April 28, 1956 she was joined in Holy matrimony to Jimmie Dark. She later joined New Beginnings Ministry where she served on the usher board and member of the choir.

She was preceded in death by parents Rosezell Grayson and John Marion Gamble Sr.; and several brothers and sisters, Velma Grayson, Annie Eva McGhee, Frances Elaine Barnes, Alberta Seals, John Marion Gamble Jr., and Edgar Lewis Gamble.

Willie Dark was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind, not to mourn but to cherish her memories, husband, Jimmie Lee Dark; sons, Eric Dark and Cedric (Beverly) Dark; daughter, Althea (Rodney) Looney; brothers Charles Grayson Gamble and Ezell (Rosie) Grayson; grandchildren, Talethia (Shaka) Shakes, Katrina (William Chris) Wellborn, LaKarre Dark, Erica Dark, Tia Looney, Rodney Looney, Jerrod Looney; great grandchildren Sanaa Dark, Lillian Wellborn, Keethan Dark, Zoe Wellborn and a host of cousins, friends, and church family.
