Yvonnia Chancellor

Yvonnia Chancellor earthly journey began on December 11, 1949 to the parents of Fred (Jack) Chancellor and Lue Edna Cargle Chancellor.  Yvonnia was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. 

Yvonnia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the First Baptist Church in Wilsonville, Alabama.  She was a faithful and dedicated member along her life’s journey. 

She received her formal education in the Shelby County School system and attended Vincent Elementary School before transferring to Phyllis Wheatley High School where she graduated.

Yvonnia was employed with Washie Quicky in Birmingham, where she enjoyed washing cars for many years.  She later was employed at Alabama Power and Childersburg Middle School as a custodian for many years until her retirement. 

She departed this walk of life on Sunday, September 24, 2023 under the care of Talladega Healthcare Center Rehab Select, Talladega, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred (Jack) Chancellor, and Lue Edna Cargle Chancellor, two sisters, Annie Mae Thomas and Georgia Ann Baker, three brothers, Fred Chancellor, Jr., Tommy Gene Chancellor, and Denson Chancellor, two brother in laws, Henry Thomas and Wylinsky Keith, one sister-in-law, Ernestine Chancellor.

Yvonnia’s love will forever be cherished by three loving sisters, Marie (Robert) Malone of Childersburg, AL, Betty Ann Chancellor, and Brenda Fay Chancellor - Keith both of New Orleans, LA; one brother-in-law, Sam Baker, two dedicated nieces, Angia Twymon and Sharron Baker, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
